Kwabena Antoine Nixon (IKAN) is a motivational leader and poet in the urban community and spoken word movement. His penetrating poetry reaches the core of his audiences painting real life scenarios geared towards societal issues with a mirror effect. He is using their life’s experiences as a spring board to motivate others through poetry and inspiration that will create change regardless of your current environment. His “Flood the Hood with Dreams” seminars serve as a catalyst to diminish violence within our communities by empowering you to dream big and achieve your goals by getting past your environment and background so that you can receive your dreams by taking responsibility of your future. Kwabena has traveled the United States touring and sharing the stage with Cornel West, Al Sharpton, Congressional Black Caucus, Harry Belefonte, Jesse Jackson, George Mathis and former aid to Dr. Martin Luther King and author, John Lewis to name a few. He is the President and Co-Founder of the Milwaukee Urban Entertainment Alliance (MUEA) and Co-founder and Host of Poetry Unplugged (PU).
